Our electrical engineer is a digital guy, knows nothing about start and run capacitors. The caps we need to specify and purchase are:
270-324 MFD @ 330 VAC
216-259 MFD @ 330 VAC
130-154 MFD @ 330 VAC
30 microF, 35 microF, and 45 microF all at @ 370 VAC
and others also.

Question 1 - What are the items to look for in terms of quality, durability, etc. We see plastic cases, metal cases, larger and smaller, but no other information seems to be available.

Question 2 - Where can we purchase these in volumes of 50 at a time?

Would appreciate the help much.

Just in case you guys need to know,
We are building start systems with run capacitors for single phase submersible motors, 2 hp through 15 hp.

Thank you.

Try the following link

I have found their products to perform well in some demanding applications.

Gotta love the humor in your last line there Scotty!

ABB is another good choice for capacitors. They had bought one of the larger manufacturers a few years ago (the old name now escapes me). They have great inside tech assistance and competitve pricing.
