Cannot find correct path/node

I start linx b4 logix. My 1746-l542b shows untitled, in rswho, which leads me to believe that I am connected via my serial rs-232 df1, driver match in logix when I open, offline. attempt to download. go online = cannot find remote emulator + incorrect path/node. Help.

Try, in rslogix 500, going to comms>>system comms>>expand your driver and highlight the processor then download.
