I am currently looking for suggestions regarding candidate materials to run in edge-gated Injection Mold for prottyping of a "snap" lid for plastic containers (approximately 3.5" diameter)... looking for solutions to investigate which have the following qualities: FDA Approved for Food Contact, Dishwasher Safe (Heat Resistant), Freezer Safe (Cold Temp Resistant), Translucent, Soft To Touch, Abrasion Resistent, Tear Resistant ... currently considering BASF Elastollan 1180A50 (Polyether) ... I would appreciate any and all candidate solutions ( sites as well) for investigation ... thank you in advnace!

If it does not need to be a "high-tech, over-engineered solution, why not just use hi dens polyethylene? Cheap, easy to mold, fda compliant, etc etc etc. I don't have my book handy, but I believe hdpe is dishwasher safe in actual usage.
