One section pipe, only 32m and dia=32in, is applied for conveying water from one pond to another pond with the atmospheric conditions . Can it be rolled and welded from ASTM A36?
In my opinion, A36 can be selected as shell of tank, so it also can be shaped and welded as the 32in pipe. Is my reasoning correct?
Thanks for your valuable point in advance.

It can surely be done. And, I think is quite commonly done for some of the AWWA steel water pipe specifications. If you're trying to meet a specification, you'd need to look into it in detail.

cpe..

Why not simply specify the correct ASTM specification for spiral welded pipe ? 32 inch OD isn't that large....

Do you plan on having the pipe galvanized or have some other means of corrosion protection ?

I believe that the ASTM spec for piping used in this lp service is ASTM A211..

However, checking with the astm website, I find that A211 has been withdrawn....

Talk with a major piping supplier

Good luck

You might also check into using either 30" or 36" pipe- it may be easier to get ready-made 36" than to custom-roll 32" for no more length than you have.
