Hello everyone,
I am electrical guy and I have worked in small el.motor repair shop .Changing the bearings is a common daily work .Most of roller bearings of our motors is NU type so that they are easier to find in our warehouses . When we need urgent reparation a motor with bearing N-type, and when they are not in stock common practice of our worker is to replace it with NU bearing . Watching catalogs and their characteristics except constructive difference I did not see a good reason why it's dangerous to the operation of electric motors .Do you have a similar experience with replacing bearings these 2 types or give me the good reason why this replacement of non-functional ..
Thanks in advance
