I have just finished our new "B" size format and saved it as B_Size_Detail.SLDDRW. It has a rearranged titleblock and our new logo. Can I somehow import this data into a Saved AS old style C_Size format and swap out the different parts (Lines, text, logo, etc...).

You want the title block to be the same for all sizes. Do a save as C size with the B size, then change the borders and sheet size.

Thanks Chris,

I saw that as an option, but I was hoping that I could just swap out the titleblock portion of the new B_Size format so I would not have to redo any of the other drawing size zone numbers or marks.

Maybe you can make the title block a 'block'?

The more complex your title block (annotations, linked custom properties, blocks, etc) the harder it is to copy it and re-insert it. As of S/W 2007, block will not hold both annotations and sketch entities at the same time, per my experience.

Make the title block a complete rectangle, completely enclosed with lines. Select all objects in the title block, copy them, then paste them into the C-size at an artitrary location in the middle of the sheet.

Create a block out of all the lines. You can try to include annotations, but only the lines will be included. Use the right lower corner as your insert point. Simply drag it from that point to the corner of the drawing.

Your annotations will be left behind. Group (not block) your annotations. Drag them into place. This is a guesstimate, but not hard to get it close enough.

Final step, send in ER to improve Block abilities to be able to handle more situations so we don't have to jump through hurdles to do this in the future. :)

Matt,
I never thought to put in an Enhancement Requests for something I only do every five years.
A star for your idea.
