Hello! We have a driving shaft from the motor to a rolling mill that have to be flexible in an angle of 3 degrees.
That obliges us to have a gearshaft with cambered teeth.
For internal teeth is the data: pitch diam. 11 inches
p=4 z=44 pressure angle=20 degrees
end measuring rod was 269.53 mm (upper tolerance +0.05 mm lower +0.011 mm)
For matching external teeth: measure over 5 teeth: 88.27 mm (upper tolerance -0.04 mm lower -0.08 mm). This worked fine but can you tell me: where can I get litterature about this or can anyone of you help me to be able to decide play and tolerances for similar cogs in other dimensions? Do named measures make unusually wide or narrow play?
Regards from Sweden
