Is there a function in proE to generate a cam shape given a cam-wheel with different radii for dwell and a angle of rotation for the cam movement?

cam generation in proE 2001 basic?

Hi Alan,
Try out the variable section sweep-pivot dirction to get CAM Profile.To do the vss(pivot direction) follow the steps below ,
1.create graph ,that must be for 360 deg and repilica to your profile,
2.then create base feature
3.goto vss select pivot direction ,specify the planar surface, use tangentchain
4.allot the relation as follows(sd#=evalgraph(“graph_name,trajpar*d)+/-/% #
