Hello everyone,

Considering Modified Cam Clay Model.

Is the flow rate associated?
Whats the nature of strains? Are they elasto plastic?

The yield surface is described by an eclipse and therefore plastic strain increment vector
(which is normal to yield surface) for the largest value of the mean effective stress is horizontal,
and hence no incremental deviatoric plastic strain takes place for change in mean efective stress?

The yield surface doesn't coincide with the state boundary surface.why or why not?

The size of yielding changes as a function of plastic volumetric strain.why or why not?

Mr. Soman: Double posting in the general geotech area is not needed, since most of us look at many rooms. Good luck with all your questions.

Thankyou,I thought people might not look at both forums.
hence I posted it to stay safe. :(

You've any say on this issue?
