So, I have a 4yr ABET approved degree and I passed my EIT exam, so according to CAli requirements I can sit for the civil exam after two years of experience...

My question: after I take the PE exam, and pass, do I have to work as a civil engineer to keep my license or can I work as a project manager? That is, providing that I pay my annual dues and maybe do continuing ed courses, do I have to be actually designing to keep the license?

Thanks

Working as a project manager will not cause you to lose your license. There are many CA PEs who no longer design but work in management.

Unlike many other states, CA does not have a CEU/PDH requirement, albeit, I think it should.
