Other than MS Outlook and Lotus Notes, what other programs are out there for email and calendaring?

Netscape stopped calendaring with v4.7. Does Thunderbird/Firefox have calendaring?

There is the Sunbird project from Mozilla where there is a plug in for Firefox and Thunderbird or as a stand alone application.

I use Time and Chaos with Eudora for my PIM.

Thanks for the links. I'll take a closer look at each.

Since Sunbird is currently at release 0.2, does that mean there is progress towards integrating it with Thunderbird. It seems to be an independant program right now.

The others seem like independant calendaring programs also. They look good, though. Do they integrate with an email client as well?

Time and Chaos will integrate with your default email client. For instance, if you click an email address in the contacts section it will automatically open up your email program with the contact address in the send to box.

I run Netscape so I decided to try out the calendar for Mozilla. I just wish there were some active developers working on that project. The timeline for release 2 shows many enhancements that I would enjoy, but this seems to work for now and the price is right.

Thanks again. And yes, Time and Chaos looked really good. I just can't see starting a business using "chaos" software. Just something about that strikes me as sending the wrong impression.

You can start it with "chaos", or operate it in "chaos", so long as you don't quickly END in "chaos"!

I have found T&C invaluable for organising the 'chaos' of my office. We are all engineers here so we ALL know what that is like.

Groupwise includes a calendaring system in their mail package.

I use Groupwise at my current employer. The expense prevents use in a small company (one person) and takes a specialized Novel server. Not to mention the client is a resource hog as well.
