I have seen a few questions posted around calculating the methane number, unfortunately our local Caterpillar rep is unwilling to share his software. I have a lot of methane numbers to calculate am not that willing to share each composition with him. I saw a few comments that the calculated methane number based on an octane number approach gave a 10% error. Any new wisdom after the last post will really be appreciated?
