Calculation of 1 phase fault for Siemens 7SA612

Hello! I have to check one Siemens distance protection, and i have order with settings. For me is difficult to find the way which this protection is calculating impedance durin one phase fault. I try to find any explaniation in Siemens manuals but i still can't understand the way of calculating. Can someone explain me how this protection working during one phase fault?
