Hello,

Trying to calculate the strain at different points along a solid rotating shaft from an engine connected to a dynomometer. Need to find out where the maximum and minimum would be to help place strain gauges. Dimension L=576mm R = 50mm with a Max Torque from the engine being 767.4Nm and average Torque 170.8Nmm. Or even if there is a rule of thumb on where to place strain gauges but would be good to know strain values so we can compare gauge positions.
Any advice would be much appreciated.
Thanks
