Hi everyone
Im analyzing the pressure control valve in the fire water network.
the disk of the valve fails to open at predetermined pressure which is 11 bar.
how ever it suddenly opens at 15 bar(g).
I calculated the maximum force subjected to the valve
Know I have to find the required torque for the valve to open.
there are different types of torque to calculate ( for ex. hydrostatic Torque , bearing torque ,seating torque).
can you please explain for me how to find the torque of the valve?
