Hi!
I'm trying to understand why cadmium powder is inflammable and what is the relation between flammability and its moisture.
I found that cadmium reacts with air : Cd + O2 -> CdO
This reaction should be fast with a powder (with an high ratio surface/volume)
The MSDS said there is no reaction with cadmium and water.
Does CdO reacts to form hydrogen??
Thanks for your help!
