Is PVC cable the same thing as thermoseting cable?

Also what do cable trunking and busbar trunking systems mean?

No. Common thermosetting insulation materials are rubber and cross-linked polyethylene. They are generally stronger than PVC at high temperature.

Cable trunking sometimes refers to surface mounted raceway systems. Not sure about busbar trunking.

PVC it is a thermoplastic polymer. XLPE [crosslink polyethylene] it is a thermosetting polymer. See:
Busbar Trunking is a simple product, solely made up from enclosures, conductors and insulation. It is similar, in a way, to a cable but it is more reliable, less voltage drop, higher ampacity in comparison to cables in cable tray and can serve also as distribution panels at different stages. See:
