Dear all,

I work in machine and plant automation engineering. I have been working always with equipment inside buildings.
Now I have to connect small async motors and DC sensors outdoor; on top of that the site is really close to the sea and we are considering tropicalized motors etc.

Could anyone suggest me some manufacturer of junction boxes, conduits suitable for this kind of installation?
Or suggest some industry application where these requirements have to be met just to get familiar with these issues.

Thank you.

It would really help to know where you are located.

Stainless steel (316) or high-quality PVC or other type of non-metallic boxes seem like options. But this depends on your location and applicable codes.

Thank you. The plant is located in south England, the factory is on the Channel sea-shore.

You may try also PVC coated conduit and appurtenances for instance:
and others.
Sometime hotdip galvanized conduit could be a solution if it is in a confined aria-not directly exposed to sea influence..
Fiber Glass Reinforced Polyester boxes are fairly resistant. See: Hoffman ,G.E., Vynckier.
Stainless steel is very good but expensive,in my opinion. See B-Line for instance.
