I have installed a bypass filter (Amsoil BMK-13) and I noticed that the oil pressure now takes 3 to 4 seconds to build up during start-ups. I am assuming it is because the hoses drain back when the engine is off. The filter mount, which contains both the full flow and bypass, is located higher than where the original oil filter location used to be. The filter adaptor plate does not have an anti-drainback valve and it seems to me that it needs one. How big of a problem is this?
