Buttress Design

Hello,

Does anyone have any good references for the design of a reinforced concrete retaining wall with buttresses, and specifically, the design of the buttress itself. I have found a couple references for design of couterforts but can't seem to find anything about designing buttresses.

Is there a difference? To me, they are pretty much the same. Using sound engineering principles, you should have no difficulty in designing either one.
