I am seeking some technical reports regarding the performance of butterfly valves in modern water distribution systems. I am aware of AWWA C 504 standard but their are other practices in Europe, Asia Pacific and the Middle East that do not follow USA standards and could well be an improvement of this legacy standard.

I am seeing in the market place single eccentric double flanged butterfly valves. There are also models with double and triple ecentric operation. Seats vary from resilient seats, epoxied rubber seats and metal seats. What are the relative merits of each?

Have an authorities positive or negative experiences with such valves from manufacturers in India or China?

Have there been an independent test programmes carried on butterfly valves to determine performance?
