Hi all.
I'm starting using Starnd7 and I'd like to learn how to model a buckling restrained brace, specifically the transition zone between the core and the surrounding mortar. I need to model this gap zone in a way that only transfer the compressive stresses when the core is deformated and is in contact with the mortar.
Material non linearity and geometry non linearity are included in my nonlinear solver.
Thank you for all your advices.
