Are there any special considerations when brazing naval bronze. I have a cracked propeller strut, lengthwise along the bearing tube length [bottom] and would like to braze it in place. The tube holds a 2"x 5" cutlass bearing for an 1 1/4" shaft. Brazing is the best option as removing strut is a much more complicated process.

i would suspect that it is a manganese bronze[421]. GMAW with Everdur might work. i think it will be tough to do in place.
