I am in the job of designing a plastic casing. The casing is designed to hold air upto 200 psig. The casing interfaces with adjoining threaded parts of M10 and M12 size made of brass. Essentially I would like to have interfacing portions of the plastic part in Brass. Can the experts here provide some guidelines for the design of the plastic part with brass insert. What is the preferred grade of plastic? How do we ensure leak tightness at the brass and plastic interface?. Thanks in advance.
