hi all
What boundry condition can we apply to a gear when we wan to do its FEA analsyis.Loads are transferd from MDO.i mean if the gear is rotating then what is its boundry condition or constraint?

Just apply Free constraints for 6 DOF, if you persist any error like Insufficiently constrained means use Inertia Relief option

What do you mean by "MDO"? What do you want to analyze about this gear via FEA? What type of results do you want? Stress? Displacement? Fatigue?

JKI, you need to be very carfull when using inertia relief option. The software is going to apply a 3-2-1 constraint condition to the systems (typically with weak springs), so you're displacement results are going to be almost meaningless.
