Of course if you want to go into more specific details in an area a general book like this won't get you as far. Stone's "Electrical Insulation for Rotating Machines" is better regarding insulation and it's testing. Piatrowski's book on alignment has more detail on alignment. "Design of Rotating Electrical Machinery" goes heavily into electrical design of the machine (winding factors etc). There are plenty of books that would hit bearing better. So one book cannot cover all but this book "Managing Motors" hits pretty squarely on the overall target of motor maintenance and design.
