Heyo,
We're producing a product that is to be made of plasticized clear PVC, Shore 65A. It is a clamshell-assembly with a mating-groove to fixture the parts while they are bonded. The joint is expected to receive a LOT of abuse, mainly impact and flexion, at temperatures from between 0F to 120F and we want the bond line to be as strong as the parent material.
I'm trying to find a consistent and predictable adhesive to bond the parts. We are experimenting with 50/50 MEK and Cyclohexanone with 25% by weight of the PVC dissolved in the solution, but it seems finicky so far. We were using HH-66 previously and it worked GREAT, but as soon as the temperature went near 100F or more the bond would weaken unacceptably.
Any ideas?

The adhesive needs to result in a VERY strong, clear bond-line so Cyanoacrylate is probably out due to bloom (and brittleness)

Alternatively, we can have the factory make the parts from Thermoplastic Urethane. Any ideas on what kind of adhesive might work there?

Which do you think would be better for bondability? PVC or TPU?

Many thanks!
