Does anybody have any experience or information about cold bonding of brake friction material to an as-cast or machined aluminum die casting?

Adhesive cold bonding may be possible, but which temperature is expected upon braking? If high enough that will affect not only the adhesive but also the properties of the die cast aluminum.

Sorry, I forgot to mention that brake application is non-automotive and sees a maximum operation of 200 degrees F. Brake pressure I would not expect to get above 240 psi.

Thanks

Way back when drum brakes were in vogue we used a Phenolic resin that had to be baked to achieve maximum strength but had pretty good strength after a room temperature cure.
I just checked and the material isn't around any more.

I would give these people a call.

Make sure the temperature you state is a real temperature as the breakdown of different adhesives is generally on steep slope.
