BOM Subassembly Item Numbers

Is there a way to have the Item Numbers on the Bill of Materials enumerate the parts within subassemblies as well as the subassemblies and the top level parts? I think that I can do it statically, but is there a way to have SolidWorks do it dynamically?

In the Bill of Materials Properties under the Configuration tab, you can activate the button, "Show assemblies and parts in an indented list".
