Hi,
I have got a bolted joint in NX 8.5.
I have applied only the bolt preload and kept the friction coefficient as 0.
See attached gif image file, the bolts deform to enormoud magnitude without friction. I did not expect so. I expected wthout friction effect there might just be tenmsile elongation of the shank of the bolt. Why does this happen?
NExt, I gave a friction coefficeint as 0.3.See this image
The deformations I believe were ok. I sed sol 101.
Can anyone provide insight why were the deformations so enormous without friction coefficient?
