I am working on a project with a relatively tight site. It is a waste water treatment plant in the US (Maryland) that will have a 200HP boiler burning digester gases. In Canada, we have a code requirement to locate the stack 15 m (50 ft) from the perimeter of any digester or potential source of combustible gas. Does anyone know if there is a similar such requirement in the US? If there is something, could you please indicate the requirement and the source.

Not sure, but I would check with the Jurisdiction in Maryland. Start with the Boiler Safety Division, they should be able to find this information. Many Jurisdictions in the US have local Boiler rules and Building Codes that should deal with this matter.
