Assembling Once Through Steam Generator (OTSG). Work is complete & preparing for the final hydro test. In reviewing the hydro test package & P&ID I noticed the Boiler Feed Water main check valve has a 1” bypass installed I am pretty sure this is not to code can anyone confirm if this is allowed.

Bypass is allowed and it becomes part of the ASME boiler external. It shall be designed per Code.
