I am using BobCAD-CAM to create tool paths.

I have imported a STEP file of a part that contains holes. I am trying to sketch points in BobCAD in the middle of these holes so that I can use the points to make a drilling tool path.

The problem is, I am unable to make any sketches in reference to the edges of the holes in the STEP file.

Does anyone know how to do this in BobCAD?

Thanks.

OK, so I managed to figure this problem out, or at least a workaround. I figured I would post this in case others have had the same issue as I have.

When any solid part that has holes is imported into BobCAD, the circular edges of the holes are split up into 2 half-circle arcs. I was able to use the 2-point-circle tool by selecting the points where the 2 arcs meet.

I was then able to use those circles that I sketched as my geometry for the drilling operation.
