I am trying to set-up a blast load problem in Ansys.
I wanted to use a material with a strain-rate dependent yield.
It seems that the Cowper-Symonds Strength model is the right one to use.
However, i have questions:
1)where do I find appropriate Cowper-Symonds parameter values for say offshore high strength (DNV,ABS,etc) AH36, EH36, DH36 steel? as well as for mild steel? all code defined steel grades?
2) the help text seems to imply that the Cowper-Symonds Strength model defines the strain-rate dependent yield surface. It does not discusses plasticity. So must I also add an isotropic hardening model to account for plastic effects or does Cowper-Symonds Strength model act by itself?
