In my comp I have geforce 6800gt agp softmoded in quadro 4000.
Specviewperf 8.1 benchmark (proe-03 subtest) says that my pro-e
performance jumped from 18 (standard gf6800gt) to around 35 points
(softmoded quadro4000), and that is practicaly 100% performance gain.
But when I work in Wildfire 2.0 I dont see, practicaly, any speed up of wireframe rotation, part selection in assembly and similar operations.

Is there anyone who uses softmoded gf 6800gt agp or similar card and
what are performance gains (whitch driver version) and if any exists at all?

Graphic performance is felt most in shading, because of OpenGL functionality. Wireframe is badly handled, so don't expect miracles there.

I always wondered about that, since my PC specs are not too shabby, but displaying axes on some models slows it down significantly.

BTW, what's softmodding?
