Hi All,

New to the forum and really need some help understanding something.

If you have a square symmetric composite plate neglecting bending-twisting coupling terms which term in the D matrix affects the magnitude of deflection the most?

Thank you very much
Scott

Check out Composite Mechanics by Robert Jones or Similar title by Ron Gibson.

Or use MIL-HDBK-17. The analysis chapter of MIL-HDBK-17 is quite good. You can get at most (all?) of the content at euler9.tripod.com.
