We make a lot of sheet metal guards and covers here and we bend a lot of intermitent folds (i.e. a 12" long sheet metal part with a 6" long flange in the middle bent 90-degrees) BUT we do NOT cut relief to make the bends. They manage to bend the part so the stepped flange is flush with the outter edge of the part withOUT a relief cut. This tends to stretch the material transition point of the bend where the relief would normally be (and doesn't leave a sharp edge like a relief cut would). The problem is how to properly represent this with the sheet metal flange options in Inventor.
Any hints????
