I am wanting to put 2 small bends in my 3/16" 6061 T6 parts. They will be very small gradual bends on the ends to flare them up no more than an inch. My first question will this work with out cracking? If so, will they still hold there T6 condition after forming or will I have to reheat-treat to restore its original T6 temper. My guess is to use a large punch to produce the gradual radius. These parts will be subject to some moderate pressure so I do want them to hold there shape. I attached a image to give an idea of what I am looking to achieve. Please, any input would be appreciated.

Will you be bending with or against the grain?

You can do this, the temper won't be affected. Try to use as large a radius as possible.
