Belt Conveyor Automation

Hi,
I would like to ask any Codes and Standards which specifies automation requirements for belt conveyors. Specifically, I want to know:
- when to use a speed switch or a speed transmitter
- maximum spacing of belt drift switch, emergency pull cord switch
- etc.

I'd start with CEMA(Conveyor Equipment Manufacturers Association). They have documents specific to the design of belt conveyors and related safety issues.
