What is the best method to utilize to monitor 125HP and up Fan Bearings on a shaft of 6 inches to prevent unwanted shutdowns due to bearing failures?
 
Sort by date Sort by votes
Do what the airlines do; monitor vibes, noise and temps. You might get some false alarms along the way, but it would be a start. Try duplicate pickups.

Are there any types of bearing monitoring systems that are not too expensive but provide early detection warnings as feedback?
