BC and response in a collision analysis

Hi!
I am performing a collision between an ice berg and a column of a moored floating platform in dynamic explicit. I have only modelled the column.

I have problems with defining proper BCs so that the response of the platform is taken care of.

Any suggestions?

I have thought about applying springs, but not sure how I do that.. Can anyone please help me!
