Basement Flood - Waterproofing experts?

After dewatering 4" of water we found the source of the flood. There is a crack in the basement slab around the permeter or a depressed area ( about 2' x 2' x 6" deep). This depressed slab has I believe contains 3 capped sewer pipes. The water is coming in this area because of a high water table and hydrostatic pressure below the slab. This is the lowest area of the basement. I want to seal this area but am concerned that may worsen the problem. Right now I bought a sump pump to keep the basement dry. Are there any experts out there that have solutions to this problem?

The best way to deal with the problem of water infiltration in an existing basement with a high water table is to install a low point sump pump with an auto trip and then retro fit the footing with a parameter drain. (Makeing sure that the holes are down.)
