Folks,

I am looking for a moulded base that would allow a rigid extruded tube to stand vertical. This would be similar to a flag pole base (Pole foot).

The OD of the tube is approx 30mm, 0.5 wall thickness.

I hope to find one 'off the shelf' before I have to approach an injection moulder. Volume is quite high, 20k per annum. I have found some 'end-cap' types but these are unstable. The OD of the base would have to be 150mm or thereabouts.

Appreciate any help.

Speedy

What material do you need for the base?
Any better dimensions on the base, 4 bolt, height, etc.?

The make all types of Al and SS base for railings both for buildings and boats.

unclesyd,

Ideally the material should be a hard plastic, ht appox. 4 cm.

Speedy

Went to check on a local molding company that did produce a product similar to your needs. As quite a lot of others they have closed their doors.
They made a product that was a base for aerial displays for a company that made or used fireworks. I believe it was made a material similar to ABS and was made in several sizes to support the cardboard tubes with aerial bombs when firing.
I would have no idea on where to look as all the fireworks are now imported.
