I'm using a metal-cutting bandsaw to cut thin slices of 4.5" round 6061 aluminum stock. What is the best blade choice for a smooth face and this thick of stock?

Use as coarse of a tooth as you can find, lots of coolant, and a very consistant feed. About 200-250 fpm blade speed should do nicely for a high-speed blade. A finer tooth will only gum up the kerf and leave lots of saw marks, you want those chips OUT of the cut asap.
