Hi all,

I am working on a project where a 3/4" SWxNPT valve will be installed on a CL 600 piping system which has a design pressure of 1480psig @ -20 to 100 F (per the line class specs)
The supplier is offering a 6000# WOG valve which I think is still fit for use.

Do you foresee any issues with using a higher rated ball valve?

Much appreciated.

No issues I can see. Many smaller valves (<2") are 3000 or 6000, mainly for structural strength reasons.
