Has anyone done much ball spline calculations? I am trying to determine load ratings.

ISO 23848-1: Machine tools -- Ball splines -- Part 1: General characteristics and requirements.
ISO 23848-2: Machine tools -- Ball splines -- Part 2: Dynamic and static load ratings and rating life.
Has anyone read these? They seem so incomplete and flat out wrong I don't know how they can be published. For instance, equations that only have units of mm or unitless and the result is supposed to be Newtons.
