I have been working on quite an usual oil and gas two-phase flow pipeline network model involving very large elevation differences- up to 3500 m, and I have run into many difficulties in making sense of the software output results.

The model was build on Baker Jardine's Pipesim 2000. One of the difficulties I have encountered is estimating slug volumes at the end the the pipeline network. Pipesim gives flow regime descriptions- e.g. intermittent or slug- but it does not seem to be able to estimate slug volumes for pipe networks.

I have seen it work for single line systems, e.g. platform risers, but there just seems to be no option for the networks.

I would be grateful if anyone who has done anything similar would give me any pointers.

I don't have the program at hand, but as far as I can recall, you should add a report tool at an appropriate place inside the branch you are interested in. So go inside the network branch by double clicking, there you see the source node, flowline, boundary node. You add a report tool between the flow line and the boundary node (for example), and set the report tool (double click) to provide a slug output report.

I am probably forgetting something, but this should help you forward.
