Does anyone know where I can purchase working Bailey Chart Recorders. My plant does not want to replace them yet and we had one of the more important ones break

I googled the words "bailey chart recorders" and got several hits. Interestingly enough, however, your thread was the third hit.

Since you posted this in a nuclear thread, I take it that you are in a nuclear facility and if so, it gives me great pause that your plant is stuck on Bailey chart recorders. I have used plenty of them in their day and they were great equipment, but that was then and this is now. I think the last Bailey chart recorder I remember seeing was on Noah's Ark.

I think they were bought out by ABB several years ago. The circular recorders on the ABB site sure look like Bailey Instruments. If these are equivalent then you had better get off the old pocket book.

Here is one of several outfits that rebuild instruments.

rmw[/b,
You maybe right as the Smithsonian has accepted the EG Bailey, founder of the Bailey Meter Company, papers.
We used Bailey Meters to record data from Republic instruments until about 1995 when all were replaced by Provox Control and newer instruments.
