We typically do jobs per ASME, but recently got one from a customer that requires us to use AWS D1.6 codes and procedures. I'm currently going through the drawings to see what prequalified joints will apply. I am finding groove welds with ease (even though some of the requirements are flat out stupid....FCAW double bevel can only be welded overhead?) but I'm not sure what to do with all of the fillet welds.
