Can someone explain the differences between AWS D1.2 and the Ground Combat Vehicle Welding Code - Aluminum 12472301?
Jan 25, 2010 #2 Ke1thC Military Jan 20, 2010 8 They're basically the same as far as qualifying a PQR, WPS, and Welder Qualifications. 12472301 includes several Mil-Standards into it. Some of the old Mil-Standards didn't require PQRs (radiographic, tensile testing, etc.) It also includes armor. Double-check the Codes for specific differences. Keith Upvote 0 Downvote
